Job Description Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Fuel Accounting Analyst to support pricing setup, fuel system monitoring, transaction processing, and fuel accounts payable reconciliation. This role works cross-functionally with internal teams and field personnel to ensure accurate fuel sales, deliveries, inventory, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and comfortable resolving discrepancies in a fast-paced environment. Major Duties & Responsibilities Set up pricing in the system based on contracts negotiated by internal teams Monitor fuel system performance to ensure feeds and processes run as scheduled and perform as expected Maintain and update data integrity within fuel systems Review daily control reports to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing Identify, research, and resolve processing errors in accordance with departmental procedures and standards Interface with multiple internal departments and field personnel to resolve fuel sales, deliveries, and inventory issues Process fuel transactions and error corrections on a daily basis Identify, research, and resolve fuel discrepancies related to assigned areas of responsibility Perform invoice reconciliation, including: Fuel accounts payable reconciliation Researching invoice discrepancies Communicating with vendors and internal departments Reconciling draft payments Prepare reports by collecting, formatting, analyzing, and summarizing data, as requested Participate in the development and improvement of policies and procedures Provide training, coverage, and assistance to Fuel Accounting staff as needed Contribute to team objectives by accomplishing related tasks and supporting overall department goals Qualifications & Skills Experience in accounting, fuel accounting, pricing, or transaction-based financial roles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain data accuracy and resolve discrepancies efficiently Comfortable working with large data sets and financial systems Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Preferred Qualifications Experience with fuel accounting systems or energy-related operations Accounts payable or invoice reconciliation experience Exposure to policy and procedure documentation or process improvement initiatives Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour Search managed by: Megan Clark Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
