Specialist (Contract) Location: Tempe, AZ Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $25-$29 per hour (based on experience) Employment Type:
Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented AR, Billing,
and Rebate Specialist to support our accounting team on a contract
basis. This role is responsible for accurate billing, cash
application, accruals, and ongoing vendor communication. The ideal
candidate is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in
a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and process
customer billing accurately and on time Handle accruals related to
billing, rebates, and revenue recognition Manage rebate tracking,
calculations, and reconciliation Apply cash receipts and resolve
unapplied or disputed payments Communicate with vendors and
customers to resolve billing and payment discrepancies Maintain
accurate AR records and support month-end close activities Assist
with reconciliations and reporting as needed Qualifications: 2
years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or related
accounting role Strong understanding of accrual accounting
principles Experience with cash application and rebate processing
Excellent communication skills for vendor and internal coordination
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel Why This Role:
