Job Description Job Description UAS MISSION COMMANDER/Air
Vehicle Operator – MC/AVO (CONUS) GENERAL: Support customer UAS
flight operations by performing duties as an MC and AVO. The AVO is
responsible for coordinating ground and flight operations efforts
including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing,
aircrew resource management and ground and flight safety. AVO is
responsible for tasking of the aircraft from preflight, launch,
mission, landing, and post flight operations and to monitoring all
vital signs of the aircraft. AVO is the pilot in command (PIC)
responsible for safe flight of the Air Vehicle. Responsibilities:
The coordination of ground flight operations including mission
planning, execution, debriefing, safe operation of the aircraft,
CRM, customer coordination, a professional demeanor, strong work
ethic, and eagerness to expand a growing platform. The selected
individual will be comfortable working with an experimental
program, able to voice recommendations for manual updates, and
flexible enough to adapt to sudden changes in mission tasking.
Minimum Requirements: Current Active Secret (or Higher) Clearance
FAA Private Pilot with Instrument rating Class 2 Flight Medical
Privileges 5 years AVO of a Group 3 or larger 100 hours as Pilot in
Command (Unmanned) Excellent verbal communication with Flight,
Ground crew and others on flight line Pass a Background Check Work
Experience in aviation field in OCONUS (deployed) Locations Ability
to do shift work Preferred Requirements: Piccolo Autopilot
