Job Description Job Description Position Overview The DFH Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed estimates for commercial door, frame, and hardware packages. This role requires strong plan-reading skills, familiarity with Division 8 specifications, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast?paced environment. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, suppliers, and GC partners to ensure bids are complete, competitive, and aligned with project requirements. Key Responsibilities Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda for DFH scope Perform detailed takeoffs for hollow metal, wood doors, frames, and hardware Prepare accurate cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages Manage bid deadlines and coordinate with vendors for pricing Work within Procore and other estimating/takeoff software Communicate with project managers and field teams to ensure scope clarity Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded projects Assist with submittals and value engineering when required Required Qualifications 2 years of DFH estimating experience (commercial preferred) Strong knowledge of Division 8 materials, hardware sets, and industry standards Proficiency with Procore Experience with estimating/takeoff software (Bluebeam, Comsense, Avaware, or similar) Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working for a door shop or DFH subcontractor Familiarity with hardware schedules and submittal processes Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids at once Schedule & Compensation 36–40 hours per week Competitive pay based on experience Potential for long?term growth within the company Job Type: Full-time Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week Benefits: Health insurance reimbursement Paid time off Holidays 9 Company Description MGM Associates Inc. is a trusted commercial subcontractor specializing in high?quality Division 8 solutions for projects across Arizona.
