birth to 5 in the childcare setting centered around increasing
childcare providers capacity to meet the social-emotional needs of
children in their care.Through a supportive, intentional

FUNCTIONS:Provides program services in a manner that reflects the
philosophy of the department.Uses a framework of promotion,
prevention, and early intervention to promote mental health and
resilience and prevention of behavioral difficulties for those at
riskActs as a resource regarding early childhood development with
an emphasis on emotional and behavioral health and the importance
of the relationship between the participant and
child/familyCompletes technical assistance plans to support
participants, children, and staffProvides observations and
recommendations regarding the social-emotional environment to
assist in identifying children in need of support with behavioral,
emotional, or developmental concernsDevelops intervention
strategies utilizing a team approach to assist staff in developing
positive behavior support strategies to promote optimal
social-emotional developmentCollaborates with child care providers,
families, directors, managers, and other team members to build
their knowledge and skills to support the needs of children and
familiesProvides group and individual training on overall social
and emotional wellness with specific topics related to child
development, trauma-informed care, attachment, self-care, and other
related topicsPartners and supports early care and education
providers to support ongoing communication with parents regarding
mental health, behavioral, or developmental concerns of their
childrenAdheres to all data and program requirementsKnowledge of
community resources and referrals in the communityUses independent

weekends as neededApplies adult learning principles and practices
of multi-method instructionUses a training approach that is skills
based and interactive for participantsEnsures attendees complete
evaluation forms after completion of each training and technical
assistance sessionDevelops and maintains collaborative
relationships in the communityProvides technical assistance in 3
hour increments to Group Homes, Child Care Centers, Home Based
Providers, Tribal Nations, and Homeless Shelters holding a
registration agreement with ADESDevelops and implements a plan to
deliver Technical Assistance that includes a written agreement
between Easterseals Blake Foundation, the recipient of Technical
Assistance, and the Director or Program AdministratorCompletes and
submits required monthly program reports and billing formsAttends
meetings as required by SupervisorFunctions as an effective team
member with co-workers and the community to build productive,
collaborative relationships and to achieve program goals and
objectives.Develops positive and constructive working relationships
with staff, participants, and team membersMaintains established
work schedule, is punctual, keeps appointments, willing to adapt
schedule to meet unexpected needs and changes, and utilizes time

AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling,
Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a masters degree that
leads towards licensure from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health
ExaminersExperience working with young children in classroom
settingsClearance from the Background Check for Employment through
the Central Registry as required by Arizona Department of Economic
Services-Child Care Administration (ADES-CCA)Current State of
Arizona Fingerprint Clearance cardValid, unrestricted Arizona
drivers license and the willingness to use personal vehicle in the
course of employment. Must meet minimum requirements of agency
insurance carrier.Current First Aid and CPR cardsSpecialty
Instructor Status in the Arizona Early Childhood Workforce
RegistryMust be able to utilize Personal Protective Equipment
(PPE), such as face mask, gown, goggles, and gloves, for any amount
of time necessary to provide a physical barrier to protect the
employee and others.Preferred Qualifications and Skills:Minimum of
two years experience working with children birth to twelve years
and their familiesExperience working in a classroom setting and/or
consulting with teachersExperience working with economically
disadvantaged and culturally diverse populationsKnowledge of
special education procedures and the special needs of young
children with disabilities and their familiesBilingual
preferred-English and SpanishAbility to maintain effective working
relationships with families, ADES-CCA Resource Specialist,
participants, SWHD staff and community partnersAbility to use
initiative and judgment in selecting proper course of action in
unusual or emergency situationsStrength and Mobility:Ability to
lift 35 50 pounds.Ability to stoop, bend, and squat to a childs eye
level for appropriate amounts of time.Ability to get up and down
