Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Med/Surg RN in Chandler, Arizona, 85224! Pay Information
$2,063 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MedSurg Duration: 13
weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the past 6
months License: Valid RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS
Must-Have: Experience in telemetry; ability to read strips; must be
able to titrate down only: Amiodarone & Cardizem. Description: This
position requires telemetry experience. Auto-offer based on
clinical prescreen. Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam
prior to start with a maximum of 2 attempts within 48 hours of
offer. If they fail, they will be made a do not utilize for 6
months. There is also a pass/fail simulation lab on the first day
of orientation. If they fail, they will be made a do not utilize
for 6 months. Must be able to read strips and due to floating to
telemetry units, must only titrate down Amiodarone and Cardizem.
The unit has 32 beds with a focus on surgical and oncology
patients. Common diagnoses include orthopedic, surgical, and
urological cases. The weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per
4-week period, with one major and one minor holiday. Charge nurse
does not take patients and is supported by a unit supervisor. Nurse
aides are available during the day, with one task RN at night.
Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Floating is to adjacent
units. Additional support includes a tech for central monitoring
and 24/7 pharmacy services. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4
shifts to be canceled during the assignment. Charting system
utilized is Cerner. Trauma level is 1. This is an acute care
setting. The expected nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 during both day
