Job Description:
An exciting locum tenens opportunity awaits a skilled and
dedicated General/Trauma Surgeon. We are currently seeking a
qualified physician to provide coverage from January 8 at 0700 to
January 15 at 0700, with potential for temporary privileges granted
for the right candidate. The assignment will take place near
Douglas, AZ. The locum tenens position is in a dynamic and
fast-paced environment, offering a unique opportunity for a surgeon
with expertise in General and Trauma Surgery. The facility is
equipped with state-of-the-art technology and is committed to
maintaining high standards of patient care. The assignment requires
coverage for both inpatient and outpatient settings, with an
average of 5 patients per shift and a department capacity of 15
beds. Admissions and rounding duties are expected, and the
successful candidate will be responsible for supervising one PA/NP.
Credentialing requirements include board certification eligibility
in General Surgery, along with active licensing in Arizona. The
facility prefers providers with ATLS and ACLS certifications. The
estimated credentialing timeframe is as soon as possible, ensuring
a prompt start to the assignment. The call type is beeper, with an
average call response time of 30 minutes. The locum surgeon will be
expected to handle both adult and pediatric trauma cases, as well
as a range of general surgical procedures. The facility is located
near Douglas, providing convenient access for travel. This locum
