Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. This pivotal role involves providing personalized rehabilitative services to patients, helping them to regain functionality and independence after experiencing acute illnesses or injuries. Utilizing a holistic approach, the Occupational Therapist will develop and administer therapy plans tailored to the needs of each patient. Our ideal candidate thrives in a supportive, patient-focused healthcare environment and is dedicated to achieving optimal patient outcomes through innovative therapeutic practices. Evaluate patients’ medical histories and physical conditions to develop effective treatment plans. Implement therapeutic processes focusing on enabling activities of daily living (ADLs) and motor functions. Educate patients and families about post-treatment home care and exercises. Regularly assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to tailor care plans and promote overall health and wellness. Strong knowledge of therapy principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and rehabilitation Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Strong observational and analytical skills Ability to handle and operate medical equipment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current state license as an Occupational Therapist. NBCOT certification preferred.
