Job Description Job Description TNG TRANSPORTATION IS HIRING EXPERIENCED AND MOTIVATED CDL CLASS A DRIVERS FOR OTR (OVER-THE-ROAD) POSITIONS. Additional Wage Information Pay per mile @ .60 to .65 (Loaded) Essential Job Functions Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. Read bills of lading to determine assignment details. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, performing minor repairs, or washing trucks. Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting or disconnecting air or electrical lines, or manipulating fifth-wheel locks. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes in compliance with state regulations. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle Pick up and deliver freight on time Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections Maintain accurate logs and records (ELD compliant) Communicate with dispatch as needed Tools and Technologies Global positioning system GPS devices Cell phones TMS Systems (AXIS TMS) ELD Systems (SAMSARA) Essential Work Activities Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material Job Location TNG TRANSPORTATION, LLC 55 w bodega drive, nogales, Arizona 85621, United States Credentials Needed Valid Class A CDL with atleast 24 preceding months Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate Valid MVR with no accidents and traffic violations in the preceding 36 months.
