Job Details Location: Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 (Arizona, Cochise County) — ideal for candidates searching Arizona OB-GYN jobs or locum tenens opportunities Assignment Dates: April 10, 2026 – April 13, 2026 Employment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Physician (hospital-based) Setting: On-site, hospital-based obstetrics & gynecology department Department Beds: 20 Patient Encounters Per Shift: ~5 Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts Estimated Weekly Salary: $6,310 - $7,480/week Job Requirements (Qualifications) Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Active and unrestricted Physician license (MD or DO) — Arizona license preferred or ability to obtain Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology; prior locum tenens or travel physician experience a plus ACLS certification required Experience managing both low- and high-risk pregnancies preferred Ability to perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I required; Level II preferred) Experience with complicated deliveries, including C-section, breech, multiple births, and VBACs required Proficiency in surgical gynecology (open and operative/major procedures) required Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for inpatient and delivery patients in a hospital setting Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies and triage obstetric emergencies Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I required; Level II preferred) and integrate findings into patient care plans Conduct routine and complicated deliveries, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs Repair 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations and manage postpartum complications Perform surgical gynecology procedures, including open and operative/major cases Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesiology, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care Apply now to join this locum tenens OB/GYN assignment in Sierra Vista, AZ.
